Question:
Why does my computer keep asking me for my username and password after my modem connects?
Answer:
This typically means that the username and
password you entered was not accepted by our server. There are three
common reasons for this:
- Your CAPS LOCK key is on. Make sure that your CAPS LOCK key is off
before typing your username and password, because both are case sensitive.
- You mistyped your username and/or password. Your username should be
typed in all lower-case letters and there should be no spaces, and remember,
your password is case-sensitive. Also, your username should include the
@domainname.com at the end.
- Your account is invalid. (It has been put on hold, does not yet exist or
was cancelled.) If you believe this to be the case, and you believe it to be
in error, please call us at 800.599.1000.
